In this client lounge, you’ll learn about our process and get ready for your special day, allowing you to simply cherish each other and the presence of your loved ones!

Welcome in your client portal!

A note about this client portal

Your engagement session is the perfect time for us to get familiar and feel at ease with the camera. It's a wonderful chance to enjoy some quality time together while calming any pre-wedding jitters.

Plus, if you’re thinking about sending save-the-date cards, these photos will be perfect for that!

1. Your engagement session

To ensure your big day goes smoothly and every important moment is captured, a little bit of planning goes a long way.

In your client lounge, I'll offer some vendor recommendations, walk you through various photography options, present timeline examples, and provide all the details you need for completing the pre-wedding questionnaire.

2. Wedding planning & timeline

I always ask couples to fill out a pre-wedding questionnaire. It’s a super helpful way for getting to know what matters most to you!

Your answers help me plan a photography timeline that fits your day perfectly and makes sure all those meaningful moments are beautifully captured.

3. Pre-wedding questionnaire

About a month before your big day, we'll hop on a check-in call to cover all the crucial details, make sure our timeline is on point, and tackle any last-minute twists and turns.

It’s our chance to get on the same page and for you to spill the beans on what you're dreaming of for your wedding photos.

4. Check-in call before the wedding

Your wedding day is full of moments you’ll never want to forget: the excitement while you’re getting ready, the emotions during the ceremony, the laughter, the tears and the little in-between moments you might miss in the rush of it all.

I’ll be there to document it all, from the big moments to the small ones, so you can look back and relive not just how everything looked, but how it felt for years to come.

5. Your wedding day

Within 3 to 5 days after your wedding, I’ll send you a sneak peek of some of my favorite images from the day. That way, you won’t have to wait too long to see a few special moments and start reliving everything all over again.

It’s also a nice way to share a few photos with your friends and family while the excitement is still fresh!

6. Sneak peek

I carefully go through and edit every image from your wedding so the full story of your day comes through - from the big moments to the quiet in-between ones. This usually takes about 6 to 8 weeks.

Once everything is ready, you’ll receive your full online gallery, where you can easily look through, download, and share your photos with family and friends.

7. Full gallery delivery

Your photos are meant to be enjoyed, not just kept on a screen. There’s something so special about having them printed and in your home, where you can see them every day.

After your gallery is delivered, you'll be able to order your wedding album right here in your client portal - an easy way to turn your favorite moments into something lasting that you can hold onto for years to come.

When is the best time to plan your engagement session?

Your engagement session is an ideal time to help you feel at ease in front of the camera before your wedding day). It’s also an opportunity to get to know each other a bit better, discover your relationship dynamics, understand your vision for the big day, and see how you interact.

Most couples bring one formal and one casual outfit. This mix is a great way to add variety to your engagement photos.

Make sure your nails are clean, since your hands will be on display. This goes for men too!

If you’re planning to have a trial for your wedding day look, your engagement session is the perfect time to test it out!

Soft colors like earth tones, creams and pastels, along with simple or no patterns, photograph beautifully and keep the focus on you.

Choose a color palette that complements each other rather than identical outfits.

Wedding planning & timeline

While I’ll try to document all candid moments during the day, it’s helpful to know any specific groupings, moments, or sentimental details you want included.

These ideas will help you fill out the pre-wedding questionnaire - it’s like a cheat sheet for making sure we snap all the must-have shots in the final wedding timeline, and no one gets left out (not even Uncle Bob's infamous dance moves)!

Getting ready

This is the start of your special day - filled with excitement, a few nerves, and those peaceful moments before the celebrations kick off, all surrounded by your favorite people.

These photos are a beautiful way to document the behind-the-scenes emotion of your day - moments you might not even realize are happening until you see them captured in your gallery.

First look

A first look lets you have a special moment together before your wedding day kicks into full gear. It gives you both a chance to relax and ease those nerves before the ceremony. But remember, it's totally optional! Many couples still love the classic approach of seeing each other for the first time at the altar.

Benefits of doing a first look:

You get to enjoy a quiet, intimate moment together before the whirlwind of the day begins.

It helps calm nerves and ease any pre-ceremony jitters.

You can go straight to the cocktail hour after the ceremony instead of taking time away for portraits.

Your hair and makeup will be freshly done and at their best for your portraits.

Ceremony

The moment you say "I do" is really the heart of your wedding day. It's where emotions are at their peak - joy, tears, laughter - and I'll be right there to capture every single one. From the walk down the aisle to heading back up, and all the feelings in between, these are the photos you'll treasure forever.

Family & group photos

Some tips for creating your shot list:

Depending on your wedding size, group photos with family and friends can take quite a bit of time.

To make sure I capture all the key people, please prepare a list of your must-have family and group shots and include it in your pre-wedding questionnaire. Keep in mind, this list is just a starter point - I'm happy to snap extra photos if we have time!

print example list →

Start by listing the 10 most important people or combinations you'd like photographed. This helps make sure the must-have shots are captured no matter what.

Designate a photo helper who knows the guests to help organize and call out groupings during photo time.

Don't forget to include any meaningful relationships that may not fall into the traditional categories (e.g. godparents, chosen family, step-siblings).

Portrait session

I love squeezing in some extra portraits of just the two of you! This is your chance to step away from the hustle and soak in the joy of being newly married.

Some couples love a quiet session right after their first look, while others prefer the magic of the golden hour just before sunset. Depending on your schedule and what you enjoy, we might even do both!

When to plan a portrait session:

We can take photos right at your venue - in the gardens, by an archway, or in a beautiful architectural spot. If there are scenic areas nearby, like fields, woods, or a lookout, we can slip away for a few extra shots there too. I’ll scout the best light and locations ahead of time so we make the most of it.

Location:

Reception & after-party

The reception is a whirlwind of energy, filled with laughter and celebration - seriously, it's packed with epic photo opportunities! From heartfelt speeches to some seriously fun dancing, I'll be right there capturing all those amazing and meaningful moments as they happen.

~ Toasts and speeches
~ Cutting the cake
~ Guests enjoying dinner
~ First dance as a married couple
~ Parent dances (father-daughter, mother-son, etc.)
~ Special performances or surprises
~ Bouquet and garter toss
~ Grand exit with sparklers, confetti or car send-off

Ideal time for pictures of:

Once you've filled out your pre-wedding questionnaire, I'll take all those details - like when your ceremony is, travel info, and those key moments you don't want to miss - and craft a custom photography timeline. This timeline will help ensure everything goes off without a hitch, capturing those special moments with optimal lighting and zero stress.

Here are a few timeline examples, both without and with a first look:

Having another question?

Don't stress! We’ll embrace it with cozy indoor spots, pretty umbrellas, and covered areas that make for super romantic shots. A little rain can add a dreamy, magical feel to your photos!

1. What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

Engagements: you’ll get your gallery within 2 - 3 weeks after the session.

Weddings: you'll get a sneak peek of highlights within 3 days, your full wedding gallery will be delivered in 6 - 8 weeks.

2. When will we get our engagement / wedding photos?

Flexibility is key! I always leave room for timing changes and little surprises throughout the day.

My goal is to keep things feeling easy and low-stress, and I’ll adjust as needed to make sure all the important moments are captured.

3. What if unexpected events alter the timeline?

Two should be the minimum amount of outfits you bring so you can get a little variety, but 3 is my sweet spot.

The golden rule here is to wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident!

4. Can we extend our coverage on the day of the wedding?

The remaining balance is due [X] weeks before your wedding day. Payment can be made via bank transfer or online invoice (details will be sent).

5. When is the final payment due and what are your payment options?
